COVID-19 Response

Update: September 2021

We continue to follow CDC and Lewis & Clark County Health Department guidelines for Covid 19. As the Delta variant becomes more prevalent in our county and state, we strongly urge everyone to wear a mask inside the Helena Food Share pantries while shopping and maintain a distance of 6 feet or more from others whenever possible inside or outside. We will provide a mask for anyone who needs one. If you prefer not to go inside, we can provide a grab-n-go cart at the front door – just ask at the front window.

Update: October 2020

Beginning on Monday, October 14, Helena Food Share will adjust its weekly service schedule to be closed on Wednesday. Otherwise, the pantry hours remain the same: 12:30-6:30 on Monday and Thursday and 12:30-3:30 on Tuesday and Friday. The pantry will continue to be closed on Wednesday until conditions related to the Covid-19 pandemic allow.

Since the beginning of this pandemic, Helena Food Share has made many modifications to our operations. We are doing all we can to follow practices that help prevent the spread of COVID-19 and protect our customers, volunteers, and staff. Because of limited space in our building and the onset of the fall season, we are modifying our staff and volunteer schedules in order to maintain appropriate social distancing and limit the number of people gathered. These changes in schedules are being put in place as a proactive measure so Helena Food Share will be able to remain open and available to serve the needs of all who need food in our community. We are thankful for your flexibility and support which, as always, help us to keep our doors open and be available for all who need food assistance.
