SUMMARY:10th Annual Helena Sun Run
DESCRIPTION:The Helena Sun Run is an annual fundraiser 5K/1-Mile run to raise money for solar panels on local public and non-profit buildings with the goal of making Helena a beacon of renewable energy. For our 10th annual event\, we are finishing up fundraising for a solar project at the new Helena Food Share building at 1280 Boulder Ave\, a project that will significantly reduce HFS’s energy costs and help them have a greater impact in the community \n\n\nJoin us on Saturday\, October 4\, 2025\, and see if you can “Outrun the Sun” (i.e.\, Em Thiessen in a goofy Sun costume) and help support renewable energy in the community. The event includes a “Clean Energy Expo” where local solar installers and regulators will have tables to answer questions and provide information. DESCRIPTION:The Care Van® program will join Pure View Health and Lewis & Clark Public Health to offer free and low-cost health screenings\, sports physicals\, and immunizations at Helena Food Share on Monday\, June 23. Screenings will be in the HFS Community Room\, the Care Van\, and the Lewis & Clark Public Health Van parked just outside. Please bring your medical insurance card if you have one. For those without insurance\, the Care Van program has support to cover most costs. This is a great opportunity for families to take care of yearly physicals and shots for the coming school year.
