Helena Food Share works with each and every grocery store in Helena to rescue edible food that grocers cannot sell. This partnership accounts for 40 percent of the food on Helena Food Share’s shelves and keeps hundreds of thousands of pounds of food from landfills each year. In 2017, local grocery stores donated 819,222 lbs. of food to Helena Food Share.
Helena Food Share trucks hit the road Monday-Friday to rescue food. This dynamic job is a great volunteer opportunity for folks who like to be active and don’t mind Montana’s weather. For a volunteer application, please click here.
