Mary’s paintings showcase people she has encountered in Helena and Seattle and will sell for a specified amount of food (or cash equivalent) to support our Helena Neighbors in need of food. Mary is a nurse who’s cared for people touched by homelessness. As an artist, she paints portraits of the special people she has helped take care of. They have inspired Mary to sell her paintings in exchange for gifts of kindness to help others — a donation of food to a neighborhood food bank, a gift of new socks for a medical clinic, or even homemade sandwiches for a community shelter.
Mary is a Carroll College nursing graduate and works at the University of Washington Medical Center in Seattle.
Her previous works can be viewed at marylarsonart.com.
