Getting Food: Grocery Share
Asking for help can be hard, but be assured that every person who visits Helena Food Share will be treated with dignity and respect. All are welcome, and getting help is easy.
As easy as 1, 2, 3…
- Visit the Grocery Share Market during operating hours. There are no age or income restrictions.
- Check in at the Welcome Desk. During your first visit, a trained volunteer or staff member will assist you in completing a short intake form. Rest assured that all your information will be kept confidential. You will be asked to update your information yearly.
- Shop for food. Visit up to once a week to shop for groceries. During a weekly shop, limits are set based on the availability of weekly items. These include produce, cooler items, frozen food, bread, sweets, and extras. One week each month, you can add monthly shop items, including canned and boxed food, grains, frozen meat, and dairy, to your weekly shop. Limits on monthly shop items are based on your household size.
Note: We are happy to assist customers with special requirements whenever possible – just give us a call or ask when you come to shop. If you’re experiencing homelessness, talk to the greeters when you check in.
That’s all there is to it – if you need help, please come see us!
Contact our team at (406) 443-3663 if you have additional questions.
