CSFP: Senior Commodities Food program

Eligibility: Recipients of CSFP Food must be at least 60 years of age and under the income guideline set at 150% of the federal poverty level. You qualify for this program if you are a single-person household making $1,995 or less per month or a two-person household making $2,705 or less per month combined.
For each additional person in your household, add $710 to these limits to determine if you qualify.

If you are new to Sr. Commodities, please add an extra 10-15 minutes when picking up food to complete your CSFP application. If you are already signed up, please allow extra time to recertify each July.

  • You must show a valid ID when picking up your commodities.
  • A single household may only receive one commodity box, and it is best if the person signed up for Senior Commodities is the primary shopper at Helena Food Share.
  • Find distribution dates and additional income requirements in the green sidebar or below.
